In the report “Hand-assisted laparoscopic repair of a grade IV rectal tear in a postparturient mare” (J Am Vet Med Assoc 2014;245;816–820), the final sentence in the first paragraph in the right-hand column on page 819 should read “Because this requires the surgeon to manipulate the needle-holder and suture intraabdominally with 1 hand, some surgeons may be limited in their ability to use this technique, depending on their stature and the size of the patient.” The text “suture 1-handed in the rectum” is incorrect.
