Correction: Rabies surveillance in the United States during 2013

In the report “Rabies surveillance in the United States during 2013” (J Am Vet Med Assoc 2014;245:1111–1123), an error occurred in the production of Figure 1 that resulted in exclusion of data from some counties (notably, certain counties in Ohio). A similar error occurred in the production of Figure 5 that resulted in misrepresentation of some counties as having reported cases of rabid skunks when in fact no cases were reported. Corrected versions of the maps are provided below and are available online (www.cdc.gov/rabies). Finally, in the acknowledgments section, the affiliation of Dr. Fernando Vargas Pino, who provided rabies surveillance data for Mexico, was incorrect. Dr. Vargas Pino's affiliation is Under Director of the Zoonosis Program, Centro Nacional de Programas Preventivos y Control de Enfermedades (CENAPRECE), Secretaría de Salud, Mexico.
