In the AJVR article “Tritrichomonas foetus is not located in the accessory glands, epididymis, or testicles of infected bulls, and post mortem changes influence recovery of organism” (Am J Vet Res. 2024;86[1]:ajvr.24.08.0239. doi:10.2460/ajvr.24.08.0239), 2 corrections are needed.
First, in the third paragraph of the Methods section, the authors originally stated the following about a Tritrichomonas foetus testing device: “Samples were obtained by scraping the preputial epithelium 10 times with the Pizzle Stick Trich (Lane Manufacturing) testing device attached to a sterile 20-mL syringe. The Pizzle Stick was inserted into the sheath and directed caudal to just cranial to the preputial fornix.”
The authors would like to correct their article by amending the statement regarding the testing device to the following: “Samples were obtained by scraping the preputial epithelium 10 times with a T foetus testing device attached to a sterile 20-mL syringe. The testing device was inserted into the sheath and directed caudal to just cranial to the preputial fornix.”
Second, in the Methods subsection entitled Post mortem sampling of penis and prepuce, the authors originally identified the pH meter as Hanna Instruments model H19128; the authors would like to correct their article by amending the pH meter to Hanna Instruments model HI98128.
