Author Instructions: Did You Know?

The digital edition of AJVR is the journal of record. Accepted articles will be published in the digital edition.

Did You Know? (DYK) invites veterinary students to become involved in the publication process and the broader veterinary profession through publication in AJVR. DYK is for sharing facts about veterinary research. It is not intended for sharing curriculum initiatives or college events. All DYK accepted for publication are subject to editing.

≤ 50 words (the reference is not counted toward the total)

One headshot image uploaded as a figure

Formatting

  • 8.5 X 11-inch page size
  • Double spaced
  • 12-point font 1-inch (2.5-cm) margins
  • Left justification
  • Include full name, institutional affiliation, and graduation year

Reference

Include 1 reference published within the last 3 years and formatted using the current American Medical Association Manual of Style. Please note that authors bear primary responsibility for the accuracy of references.

  • Create your user account
  • Click on “start new submission”
  • Upload your manuscript text file
  • Select “Did You Know?” for the manuscript type
  • Manually type in the title for your “Did You Know?” fun veterinary fact
  • Upload your headshot and college logo and designate as “figures”

  • A copyright agreement will need to be completed prior to publication
