Dr. Jan Ramer (Wisconsin ’95), Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Ramer is senior vice president of animal care and conservation at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Earlier in her career, she served as an associate veterinarian at the Indianapolis Zoo and as the regional veterinary manager for Gorilla Doctors, caring for sick and wounded mountain gorillas in Africa. Known for her contributions to conservation efforts, Dr. Ramer has also served as director of conservation medicine for The Wilds, a nonprofit safari park and conservation center in Ohio. She is a diplomate of the American College of Zoological Medicine.
